MINECRAFT HEROBRINE- real of fake?

Herobrine does not exist, end of story. I don't even play Minecraft and I know this. The only kind of Creepypasta-like element in Minecraft that I know of is Enderman, and it's just a parody of Slenderman.

Also, even if Herobrine was real, it never says ANYWHERE that it can make any harm to you in real life.

So, I looked it up and... You can add a mod (unlike the ones from the comments above) with herobrine.
Supposedly in this mod you will find random mine shafts that aren't like villagers. If you wander tthrough these mine shafts your supposed to see herobrine holding a pickaxe in them.
I don't really know if this is true, I just searched 'minecraft herobrine' on google and clicked on the one entitled 'Herobrine Minecraft Wiki' Look it up!

It's fake. "Removed HeroBrine" is a joke Notch mad a while back, and Jeb has kept it going with every new update all the way back to 1.2.5 and beyond!

Okay, shedding light on this. On twitter, someone tweeted Notch he then replied saying Herobrine doesn't exist but, other Mojamgsters said jokes about it so i'm stumped but i think it's a joke.

I dont think hes real but if you go on the 1.5.2 launcher and type in "Herobrine" as your username and play offline you will be wearing the herobrine skin. As That person said up there that they found a Herobrine.Jar maybe the person who made herobrine was a hacker. P.S. I found a new best freind and itssssssssss a creeper! BOOM!
