And I still fail to see why "renting" a chat room would be a good idea. Encourages mischief, rule breaking, etc. Making a group allows you to make something similar, without needlessly making more chat rooms (as if we need more) or locking someone out of one.
It's my job to help the next generation, and set a good example for them. And for that I'll gladly lay down my life.
So I think the topic creator meant to say "TCGs" (trading card games), which could still be filed under 'Gaming', albeit while expanding the definition we currently go by.
"The Text-based Games Forum,[1] often known and referred to as the "TBG" for short
There are many kinds of TBGs.
Some are listed below:
RPGs: role-playing games, e.g. Flag RPG
Rate the person above you: games where you must rate something posted by the user above you and post your own, e.g. Paste!, where you paste whatever's on your clipboard and rate.
Count up: Games where you must count up until a user with a particular attribute (uses FireFox, or has an R in their name) posts. e.g. See how high you can count until a mod posts!"
I see what he means. I actually think it's a decent idea. These kinds of threads are made ALL the time on the misc thread. It might help clean up the misc thread if we had one of these TBG topics. It's not needed though, but it is a wonderful idea. If hull could do this, that'd be awesome in my opinion.
