Goodness, seriously? In a kids movie? I'm all for people choosing their life styles that they want to live, but why expose innocent children at such a young age? I'm fine if you put it in a show for older kuds, but this movie is going to mostly appeal to youngsters who don't even know about being gay. I honestly don't think it's the medias right to expose kids to that. If the childrens parents want to inform them, then they should. When they believe the kids would understand.
Why is it so bad having gay characters in kids movies? Its not like they'll be all over each other, kissing or anything because its a KIDS movie (at least I hope not), I doubt the audience will even relise they're gay since they are all kids. Plus, they are going to find out sooner or later, parents shouldn't try and keep these things from there children. They need to be told about gays, so they learn to treat them as normal people as well.
I don't see why anyone cares. It's not scary, gory, sexual, racist or anything like that. Its not innapropriate or offensive in any way. Noone cares when a person in a movie shows interest in someone of the opposite gender, why is this any different?
Okay, so I did go see the movie and there's a lot more in there than just this one subject. There is some foul language in there, and honestly, could they have at least dressed the characters better?
Anywho, the movie really wasn't all that it was cut out to be. My little sister didn't even really like it...
I'm not sure, I don't think it would affect the rating, as other kids movies have sone adult jokes in them. Once you start watching older movies you watched as a kid, you'll see every joke. Most kids movies have that, and their rated PG.
