A few days ago, I went and saw this movie. It was very interesting and I was wondering if anyone else saw it and if they believe what was said in it was true or false.

I actually believe it was true because it was not just one guys point of view. He did a lot of research on Obama and his family, and he uses the words of Obama to actually provethat he is not the person that most people believe he is.

I've heard about the book on which it is based but have not read the book or seen the documentary. From what I understand of the narrative, it is similar to what has been established by several other investigations, which all allude to the anti-imperialist viewpoints, influenced by radicals.

President O'bama was not born in Hawaii. He should've never became president because he wasn't born in the U.S. There is some rule or law that has it. He was born in Africa or something. I just know he wasnt born in Hawaii.

Viperll, the problem is, there is almost never enough people who would vote for a 3rd party. And if you do, that would be like thowing your vote away.

WhaleFreak, yes, it's a documentary. I'm not sure I would even dare to go see an action or whatever movie that was like this.

He was definitely born in Hawaii. There are birth announcements in local papers, and his long-form birth certificate fits the number sequence for that week of issue, when compared with the certificate numbers of others. His social security number is a prefix issued to Connecticut births, but that can be explained by a typo of his birth ZIP code, which was one digit different.

That being said, I don't see that his "heart" was born in America. He has lived a life abroad of influence by many anti-American individuals, including communist radicals. (I believe this is what the documentary discusses.) He never live the "American Dream" and felt what it was to be of this country.

Now, how did the reportedly sub-par student with no money get through all these ivy league universities? I believe he went to college as a foreign student with dual citizenship (either British/American or Indonesian/American) on a special scholarship. His team of attorneys locked all his college records in 2007, so we probably will never know the truth here. Hmm... maybe Mitt Romney should say "I will release 10 years of tax returns in exchange for you releasing your college records."

But,, I also don't get why most democrats make such a big deal of Romney's tax returns and all that. He paid what he was supposed to on his actual work income and he didn't have to pay anything on his investment income. That's how it is... So why make a giant deal out of nothing?

They are trying to divert from Obama's record with the distraction on Romney's tax returns.

why does nobody ever go third party and pick one of the independents? If I were old enough to vote, that's what I'd be doing.

Minor parties are unpopular--to the tune of lucky to receive 1%--mainly because, among other things, they typically
- focus on special interests (Green, Socialist, there's even a Prohibition party iirc)
- don't represent voter interests as a whole
- campaign little because they have limited funds and are not covered by media and invited to debates, so people are unaware of their platforms
- superseded in favour of strategy over platforms, meaning after primaries people vote for the choice who has the best chance of winning and most closely resembles their own beliefs
- do not win historically, per above and the existence of the electoral college

Plenty of third party people, not all, vote as such for show and/or the sake of voting, knowing their candidate will ultimately obtain as much success as a write-in.

2016: Obama's America though. I find documentaries shown in theatres, especially political ones, difficult to watch with other people. Highly regarded films of this sort are few and far between; it's not easy critiquing a political documentary without party bias. Now if Romney was treated to a counterpart book and documentary...

Catch my drift.
