Sad thing is, Plaza is set up pretty well. I actually like it. But not more than Paint because of the fact that the administrators on Plaza suck. They literally let the users cyber in the chatrooms. They let the users say whatever they want to and if the admins do not like a certain user, they would just ban them for more that 24 hours, without a ban reason that makes sense.

And, yes. I remember when I left for a few months. I came back, and there were some people in the chatroom. I joined in, and left later. I return a few days later, and notice no one is in any of the chat rooms. This has been happening for weeks now. And I'm missing the good 'ol Dsipaint.

Nintendo 3DS happened. The success of a handheld browser-based community depends on the strength of the handheld's game selection. Given: handheld = convenience, console = commitment. The better games a system has, the less likely one is to wander to its web browser. DSi is just a DS upgrade (minus GBA functionality) offering the DSi Shop, which is more or less a flop. 3DS is its own backward-compatible system featuring system-exclusive big name games.

That said, SDK remains alive partly due to that very sake, with messaging and groups still at a good clip.

Well, it's Summer, nothing has picked up. Five in the roleplaying if you consider that... I don't. Either way, I do miss the old days, and I'm sure some of you all do too, noobs and all.

Good signatures are hard to come by these days...

While I don't quite buy into the premise that chatroom activity equates overall website activity, the chats are still an important factor. My peevish self might use chats more frequently were I reassured by the upper screen userlist ceasing to blink on and off. That alone doesn't account for their relative sleepiness of course, but the little things do tally in also.

Yes, that is true. But it has picked up a little the is summer. Of coarse, the only time I'm on is at night, so I usually can find someone in the chat. But what happened was everybody grew up. All the good people have jobs and a life and all that crap, and they've become bored of trolling n00bs (though I still think it fun). Oh, well. Time to grow up.
