Recording Acoustic Covers

I play the Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, and Bass. I'm getting into recording (I currently play all those instruments except the Bass at my church), but I need some help with overdubbing and all that other crap. I currently use Cakewalk's Sonar LE.
