I support Gay rights, even though I'm not gay, because I beleive that people should be treated equally and that the gender they're attracted to shouldn't matter.

I am all for equality, people need to realize that gay, straight, bi, and transgendered people are exactly that..People.

and these people want to be treated with the same respect that you expect from them, it may seem wrong to the teachings that were implanted and brainwashed into your head, but in reality, they are people just like, playing video games, eating the same foods, watching the same shows, listening to the same music, and reading the same books as all of you do.

Hating someone because of what they do in the privacy of their own homes is almost as worse as being a racist and hating someone because of the color of their skins.

I also don't really understand why Christians don't want gays to get married, if they're not christian why should they have to live by christian rules. Besides it's not going to affect them in any way if a gay couple gets married.

Christian fundamentalists dont want gays to marry because of a single word, marriage.

They like to believe that the word marriage is specifically a religious right, and should only be between opposite sexes, and it will compromise the sanctity of their own marriages. Doesnt make sense I know right?

Basically they say that if two men, or two women marry it lessens the meaning behind a "true" marriage between an man and a woman, which is how "God wanted it to be"

When in reality, it still a word, and it means the same thing no matter what context it is in.

Yeah, it's pretty dumb. And when you're married you have benefits too i'm pretty sure. It's not fair that they aren't treated like everyone else. It's kind of disgusting actually...
