I think a simpler galaxy would be much better. I still can't find any planets now that i left the orbit.

I hope you don't want the galaxy downsized! Some sort of map system could help navigation a lot.

Randomised occurences: various happenings, good and bad, can take place during one's travels. Might include communications or engine failure, warp drive malfunction, damaged cargo or equipment, space pirates, sabotage, stolen credits, trade negotiations, choosing to assist an ailing ship, encountering mysterious alien transmissions, emergency crises, rare acts of kindness (free parts/upgrades/credits), hitch-hikers, abandoned vessels containing unclaimed goods.

Be able to purchase a personal space dock/garage where spare parts, items, and old ships can be stored and accessed. Perhaps available at one or multiple fixed points. Tiered upgrades for capacity, locations, and ship maintenance.

If core gameplay can incorporate basic decision making in the form of missions or battles, the game will be much more interesting to play.

A specific sector sequence "unlocks" a secret area, location, or maybe even shortcut. Aside from just the fun of it, promotes exploration.

Restricted content. For example, shuttlecraft cannot approach blackholes, or minimum sensor upgrades to scan a planet surface, or specific equipment required to mine somewhere/something. The magnitude for incentives must increase to generate interest in progressing through the game; more cargo space just is not compelling enough.

Wish there was some catalyst to expand the multiplayer experience. I keep thinking of a combat system, not necessarily PvP, with the option to team up and form sorties/fleets. The option for single-player battles would still be there, but teaming up opens up more gameplay "windows" (Dual Strike?!).

Meaningful character classes could introduce divergent styles of gameplay.

Clearer and more succinct details listed under ship parts and upgrades. As they are, the abbreviations, symbols, and values all lumped together can be confusing. Green and red text for +/- would be a simple scheme to start off with.

There is some information available if you go to the HB Online site on a Wii/Wii U/PC, though I do think it is in need of much improvement. Any and all versions of this game need at least one of the following: a good set of guides and an in-game tutorial.

More materials available to mine and in varying frequencies--makes tedious work a little more fun.

Some logical qualities added to gameplay. For example, I left my craft docked at a (shipyard) planet for weeks, yet my warp doesn't recharge until I move around. Not easy to justify unless our engines are, uh, photon powered.

Turbo / afterburner: small bursts of heightened speed at a higher fuel cost.

A handful of once-a-day activities with rewards to keep players running around and doing things. Daily doesn't quite fit into galactic matters, but that inconsistency can be overlooked.

Has this come out for 3ds yet? I like the idea, but there are many "issues".
