I fully expect all the new/appointed Overlords to be playable characters. Overlords should also be able to choose a path of good or evil. Side note, inclusion of heinous Skunkman discrimination: can his perk be a stat handicap?
Now if Ov3rlorDS could become a small collection of simple mini-games where players go for scores and are allowed to enter versus when they meet a threshold, it could be a hit. The 3DSPaint site needs spice.
However with the absence of new games--annual game-making contests, last game Hull did was more of a tool--it is most likely that Ov3rlorDS will have the same exact gameplay scheme, only with new characters and actions.
Original game is multiplayer, although it doesn't seem that's the case because: 1) rarely anyone plays the game, 2) a user must be playing in order to be interacted with, and 3) battling is glitchy. When the sequel comes, I do expect multiplayer since I believe the new game will be roughly the same exact game, just fitted for the 3DS's screens.
It just occurred to me that to follow suit with OverlorDS, Ov3rlorDS quite possibly would also reward a badge once a certain level is reached. Instead of a whole new badge, the old badge could get upgraded. So either game can be completed alone to unlock badges, but a special one would be unlocked for completing both games. Saves space, provides added aesthetic, and bridges the two games.
