Have you lost hope in Half Life 2: Episode three?

Well, I have been looking over the entire EP3 thing and I have asked the question "Has Valve been making EP3 or are things like portal 2 taking up too much time?" The reason I am taking this up is due to Valve not saying anything, all we got was some concept art a couple of years ago, but after that they have been very quiet about EP3.
