My brother went to the gym. and no one was there so he went to the light house and found the learder. but her pokemon were sick. she needed a type of item she need. i fiund a poke ball right near the light house. should he get that?

No. there some kinda work shop at Cianwood city. that person that works there will give you a type of item to give to the sick pokemon.
