I've also realized that the fact that badges aren't lost after obtaining them would further contribute to spamming tendencies (even with the risk of removal by reason of fraud).
i like 'em. lol but its hard work. i improved alot in my badges, but i think Courier badge is being weird. i now have like 70 readm messages but still no badge
"The Courier badge depends on the number of messages read and not deleted by the recipient."
I interpret that blog excerpt to mean that messages that oneself both reads and keeps are what influences the badge. Theoretically, it should have nothing to do with the sender of the message deleting it, due to the obvious fact that deleted mail is still stored in the inbox/outbox of the recipient/sender anyway. However, it appears that the either the calculation or the counting aspect of the badge is a bit off. If it is the former, it may be counting the wrong thing.
I can't wait to see badges that can be earned by participating in other various areas of the site added.
And I know that Danny didn't make all of the games in the Games section, but I'd like to see badges for doing well in those games added as well.
It's my job to help the next generation, and set a good example for them. And for that I'll gladly lay down my life.
