No, the pokemon you battle online via wifi friend battles or at the battle tower do not count towards your pokedex.

No, the only way you want it in your dex is to ask him if he'll trade it too you. when you trade your pokemon to someone else. then you will get a new pokemon on your dex. now some of this stuff you do on pokemon. i forgot because i haven't play pokemon for like ages. i hardly play platinum. but i remember how to get them in your dex.
