Do you really know how hard it is to make a DSi-formatted site? Not that hard really. (Make a few HTML changes to the PHP file and BOOM, you have a DSi-formatted site... As long as you actually code the site properly.)
Honestly though, a DSi-Site really doesn't need to be fancy in my opinion. The browser is a bit dated and the hardware is really old. Trying to make the site look and feel like an iPhone/iPod/Android site is purely unoriginal, but that's cool.
I don't care if this new 3DS is sent straight from whatever deity actually exists, I prefer the DSi. One of the reasons I loved the DSi so much (and bought a DSiXL for $180) was because I wanted, as a sixteen-year-old guy, to be able to have [safe] fun on the Internet without my parents hawking over me all the time. Hub made that possible for me - I made friends, I had fun, and I even started to dabble in the fine art that is HTML and CSS coding! So, when I got my DSiXL back from my parents (who took it because I'm not the best decision-maker), and found out that Hub was down (apparently FOREVER), I was infuriated. I still am! How does Lunchmeats (or whatever his real name is) magically KNOW that most people have moved on from DSiHub? For that matter, why doesn't he at least give those of us who care a way to contact him and tell him otherwise? Is the 3DS REALLY that important to devote all of one's time to a browser that, as far as I know, doesn't even exist yet?!
I'm sorry if it looks like I'm raging. If this post ruins your day, I apologize. I'm just tired of all my favorite things disappearing. And if someone could post some contact information in an easily accessible area of this site (or any other site, for that matter) that would be great.
Although I think the 3DS has amazing gameplay, has anyone noticed that you cannot format a 3DS Site? The screens differ in size, with the top screen big and the touch screen smaller than the DSi one.
-@Ricky: Sorry but the DSi must live on, that is the purpose of DSiSites. Im not forgetting the DSi. Id rather go to Japan and legally upgrade it if the update isnt here yet.
@Superboss We have no idea on how the browser will work. For all we know, there will be a border on the top screen that limits the display area, just like what happens when you play a DS games on the 3DS.
It's my job to help the next generation, and set a good example for them. And for that I'll gladly lay down my life.
