I don't know why I even tried this, but this is a bug.

Normally, the hyperlink that sends a friend request is hidden on your own profile. However, if you append "&friend=true" to the URL of your profile page and access that page, it actually sends a friend request to yourself.

Upon accepting, hilarity ensues...?! In the my friends box at the bottom of the home page, I can see myself THREE times. Along with this, this can cause a bad user experience.

I haven't tried unfriending myself, but I'm pretty sure the same thing can be done.

I and other users, use this. We use it for seeing our own status and PMing ourselves, so it'd be unfortunate to see it go, for us.

The standard way of unfriending a person works with yourself, thankfully.
