Multiple times I have read Help Desks that make me want to comment and say, "I've had this issue too", or "I like this idea" but then am hit with the realization that I can't comment. I can understand potential reasons for this restriction, but I think something similar to the following would be fine.
Like the comment voting on blogs, I think being able to give a thumbs up or thumbs down to a Help Desk would be beneficial because you could see how many people want a certain feature or dislike the idea of a feature. I can think of other ways this could be useful, but I don't want to go into that too much. In short, it would be a great feature.
The other idea I have is a button to agree or support a helpdesk. Maybe some sort of button you push that puts somewhere on the helpdesk something like: "Siling-La supports this" along with other names of people who support it. This could also be useful if you are trying to see how many people are experiencing the same bug or error.
Obviously not the most pressing request at this time, but I think it would help a lot and make it easier for Helpdeskmins to do their jobs.
My preference would be the blog system, because the dislike button plays a big role in figuring out whether an idea would be wanted by the majority or not. Like, if a bunch of admins wanted an option to make polls private and only visible to a few people, but a lot more members think that would be a bad idea, they would have no say. Only the blogmins who support the idea would be able to leave comments and make it sound like everyone wants it to happen. If there was a dislike button, members could dislike that suggestion to show that a lot of people would not like that idea at all.
Just an example, and probably not a good one, but yeah, something like that.
There seems to be some conflicting suggestions here. You have that we could a like system like used in the blogs and/or we could have a "this person supports this" system. It would be a little better if you were to rewrite this/reword it a little bit better/more concisely for a better understanding for everyone in the picture.
This is by no means me to telling you you have to. I just would personally appreciate it if you did
