As of 1 Dec 2020, you can't see your own profile in full if you make it private.

This kind of goes against the notion of "private" established elsewhere on this site. Blogs and profile pages can be private. You can see those, but others can't.

On top of that, it can be annoying to set your profile to private, only to be notified of a comment on your profile, so you have to make it public again in order to read it before switching it back on.

A similar thing can be done for the comments section, not just the entire profile.

They're currently already visible to qualifying admins, unless something changed recently

The proposition, in short, is to make private profiles visible to the owner of that profile (and qualifying admins, ofc).
