Not sure how I feel about that first suggestion. Mainly because there really is no good place to have it. I like how the group list is first as it is, but then where do you place the new group part? If you place it up top, that may be confusing at first, I feel.
The second suggestion may be simple in concept, but it'll take some time and effort to implement. I second this notion, though. Maybe we ought to find better categories before finalizing a new feature like this, though.
