BTW, in Alola, there's even a Pokémon based on the Crown-of-thorns Starfish, called Toxapex.

Well, AFAIK it's just one Species (and perhaps some close relatives): Acanthaster Planci, AKA the "Crown-of-thorns Starfish".

There pretty nasty little buggers, and not only do they eat Coral Polyps VORACIOUSLY, but they also are covered in Venomous Spines!
(Definitely not something you'd want to keep in a Marine Aquarium, lol!)

Dang, that stinks!

Coral Reefs are some of the most beautiful environments in all of nature, and while it's tragic what's happening to them, the more people realize, and care about them (and all of the Fish and other Marine Life that depend upon them), the better the chance we can find a way to save them.
(Of course, cutting Greenhouse Gas emissions, reducing Water Pollution, and stopping those stupid Starfish from devouring them are all good places to start, lol!)
