Yeah, I have seen the popper-things and the sparklers. They sell by hand at fireworks sites.

When my dad was a kid, he liked to plant live firecrackers in snow piles to make them spray everywhere. He burned his finger badly once while doing this. Sometimes the sound can be mistaken for gunfire. Fireworks novelties are officially illegal where I live, so yeah, not much chance to fool with them. Have you?

I like to think I am only loud when I'm angry, ha. My neighbour usually shoots rockets off during times like the new year or Independence Day, no such luck this year. So it's pretty quiet around here. In some places, I hear they like to get their guns and shoot blanks on these types of occasions.
