Yes, that does happen. I can think of instances for nearly all admins who do before they think. I'm not expecting them to perfect, but I'm expecting them to be very close to it. There's no point to being one if one wishes to have the wrong attitude.

There also seems to be something very disjointed and iffy about the admin selection around here. Just because it's a "kids' site" doesn't mean its moderators should be so...watered down. They're supposed to be figures of authority, yet many tarnish that reputation by muddling with insignificant things and ignoring the opposite. I'm disappointed in the majority of our admins.

Ah, yes. Those blogs. I don't really have an interest in them or care for them much due to the fact that I'm averse to admins publicly announcing their ban preferences. It goes contrary to users following instead the website terms, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I do feel there is (and has been) a long-standing problem with this website's administration.
