Ok, disregard my last comment. My [awesome] technical dad took my DSi apart and fixed a wierd bend in my charger port that cause the charger's prongs to not meet the DSi's prongs. He also polished up my volume controls, fixing them. However, he messed up the screens so that they display sort of faded and light. He's opening it back up tommorow to fix that, and my shoulder buttons.
