Completely depends on the ability. Staraptor, for example, had Reckless.

An X attack wouldn't have helped. Yanmega's Attack is far lower than it's Sp. attack. I would've used a X sp.defend to soften damage, then went from there.

All Purugly had to do was do what I was intended to: Lock down support/Healers. Still, i'm serious about the X defend thing...

Once Dusknoir (Being the highest defender of the group and the key to my "Trickster team" took that crit, I had to fall back on the team's defensive stats. Well then again, the team was a work in progress.
