"That's an understatement. She still bottles the emotions up to this day, only releasing them on the battlefield. No closure yet. Her former employers dropped off the map quite effectively."
(Pauling lets out a heavy sigh.)
"But she found our ad a few years later. Needless to say she was hired. Despite her skills she refused the original offer as an Engineer. It was a difficult thing to handle. So instead we found out her rather unsettling prowess as our new Pyro. Terrified both teams to high hell but her team's Medic, Sniper, and Engineer warmed up to her fairly quickly after an incident where she was found suffering a gross shock reaction in the communal showers. Devestated the men to see her broken down like that after seeing her as an untouchable monster for so long. The rest followed in their footsteps after the...Incident involving the respawn system."
The wings and such, I'm guessing.
"Yes. It took her weeks to adjust so we had to pull her until she could work again. Adjustments were made to her uniform, thanks to the Engineer, bless that kind soul. And that's where we are now."
Wow. What a story. She's been dealt a rather sour hand in life.
"Indeed she has. But it's worked out. Her name still holds true. And now she has her team to support her when...memories decide to pop up."
That's wonderful to hear. She's such a sweet woman. A bitof a hardass but sweet as sugar.
