So, I get alot of messages sent to my inbox often to the like of "Haru, you suck, my blog took over 9000 hours to make and you denied it y u hate me?"
Well, I am going to explain why and how to possibly fix some of your blogs so that they get accepted. Especially now since I heard you get Savvii points for your accepted blogs.
First and foremost, this is just a slight generalization and in no way pointing out the flaws and or making fun of anyone elses blog whatsoever.
Ok, tip number one. If there is html in your blog header, it is automatically denied. No ifs, no ands, no buts. Its denied. There is absolutely no reason I should have to look at a bunch of jumbled letters resembling a code, just so it can look pretty on your page. When it is on the blog page, it doesnt look pretty, it looks like someone let their drunk cat run all over their keyboard. So remember HTML in blog header = not accepting, I wont even read it.
Tip two, Grammar grammar grammar. If your blog looks like this "THS IS N BLG HPE U LKE I WRKD HRD N IT N IT TKK A LNG TME 2 D" Chances are I am not even going to read it, close the blog out, gouge my eyes out with a fork then decline it..All in that order. I realize that most of you are working on a DSi, and I realize that tapping out letters one by one is somewhat time consuming, and once and while there will be some spelling mistakes, that is perfectly fine, I wont care about one or two, and punctuation, meh I leave out apostrophes all the time, its the blatant text talk and horrible abbreviations that kill it for me. Seriously take time out to spell your words, if you are unsure about the spelling, its fine, do the best you can, just dont get lazy and text type it instead. Honestly if you are trying, I will be more than accepting of that over pure laziness.
Tip three- When writing poetry, or songs, make sure they are yours..I know how to use Google just as much as you do and can always find out if you "stole" it or not. If you find a poem on the internet you liked and want to share it with others a simple opening line for the blog could be "I found this poem over the internet and want to share this with you all, this is not mine, nor did I write it, the original poet is Yada Yada Yada" I will more than likely accept that over anything else. Plagiarism is serious and also just not right.
Tip Four, while we are on the subject of poetry, two stanzas is not a poem. I will decline a two line poem just out of the fact that there is no substance to it. To me a poem should convey some kind of feeling to it, whether it be comedy, sadness or the ever popular "I am depressed, I must cut" poems. Two lines do not convey that. Make your poetry a decent length and put some feeling into it, and it will be bound to hit that front page.
To sum it all up, if you want to get an accepted blog, make sure you take the time to put some effort into it, make it readable, a lengthy read, and most of all, have fun while doing it.
Hope this helped just a little bit, and hope I see more green on the blog admin page rather than all red.
