why does everyone always assume that someone you meet online might be a petophile. you make alll kind of friends online and you never call them petophiles. just ppl who want to find a relationship. you have to understand a persons position on being able to date in rl. maybe they are too shy to make any moves. online u can be your real self and u can fall for people based on the inside, not phtsical attraction. no internet dateing is not that safe. but saying everyone who tries to go out with u online is a petophile is ignorant and dumb. maybe they wont ever meet in rl. but it males them happy. who are you to take someones happiness away from them. let people do what they want to. you oppinion doesnt matter to them so its pointless to convince them otherwise.

a good way tht might prove someone is who they say they r is get the dsi and upload pics of urself/themself to fb directly. it makes an album for just pics taken from the dsi. unless a petophile stole a teens dsi with pics on it and uploaded them, only the person who had the dsi would be able to upload pics unless they had a friend take pics for them. maybe video chat talk on phone etc before meetin in rl. there are many ways to find out if a person real, u just have to think of them.

For the dating portion, some people should understand that if you do it in the chats you get banned, if you do it somewhere like facebook or snail mail, because no one wants to see "i lve u, bt y u cht n mii." If there was a "Hitler" for online daters all over the world or would you go outside and smell the pickled daises and offering one to a boy/girl that shares the same interests as you instead of a person that could be exaggerating, like if someone says they have a 3DS when they said it the date was April 20, 2010. I'm not saying internet dating is entirely bad I'm just saying see the actual person is more worthwhile than reading words. Also a lot of relationships end in the user being perma'd not being on for awhile due to internet or cheating.
With the admin side there's no need to get mad at them for banning you or your friend because you didn't read the rules while you get chances, like one of those chances is being offered to read the rules or get banned. With bots banning in the chats people don't know who their banner is and usually peg it on an admin regardless of their power. With my last point some people don't know when to use the /banlist which is the main reason.

For the most part, I agree with your blog, but I don't agree with your first point. I'd like to mention that I don't online date, but I know people who have and it worked out wonderfully for them. There are billions of people on Earth, and depending on where you live in the country, millions-- what are the chances of your "soul mate" being in the same area as you?

Doing anything online can be dangerous, but there are always safe wayd to go about things. Sure, most people don't actually ever meet the person, but my friends met their significant other online and then took it to an irl relationship. Someone mentioned it before that the purpose of dating is to find someone to live the rest of their lives with, but what if you're placed in a city/town where all the people suck and you can't relate to anyone? Would you like to live the rest of your days with them?

This is getting a bit too long, but your blog is a rant, an opinion-- I don't see why people are flaming you.
