We all know our inevitable end. Nuclear war. Face it, it's gonna happen. But what about afterwards? Nukes will be our home-made extinction. We choose when we go extinct, which we undoubtedly will. After the war, then what? Who will take our roles as the dominant species?
I believe our succesors will be cockroaches. Don't scoff at me just because it sounds ridiculous. Cockroaches are one of the fastest adapting species in the world, and over there 3 day life span, they will breed and will eventually evolve into a radiation-proof species. In the course of the next few millenias or so, I believe this world will be overrun with what we shall classify right now as "Cockroach beasts".
So what will it be like? I'm sure there will be a few remaining species of before, but their numbers will definitely be decreased. Maybe cockroaches will be stepping on US, soon. Cockroaches will most likely create a new kind of warfare, with new weapons and doomsday devices. Our World will be a toxic, mammal-ridden, insect infested world. We will [or whatever species that's remaining that's closest to being human] will be abused by those we abused. Irony, people, Irony.
But what if it's too late? If something goes wrong? We're screwed, people, just be nice to cockroaches or the world will end life-less, due to our own greedy, explosive, cockroach-stomping ignorance.
Not even all the nukes made so far could end humanity. maybe culture, but not the species. besides, the potato bettle is more resistant to radiation than the roach
