"Reality" TV?

Welcome kiddies, hobos, 20+y/os who have DSi's or know of the site. I'm going to rant to you about a personal pet peeve of mine...

Reality TV

Personally, I hate [the majority] of it. Why? 98% of it is staged, really.

For example, my first hatred goes to the 'show' 16 and Pregnant. "Oh my god! I got knocked up for being idiotic! I think I'll go to TLC and sign a contract, going to ahospital to see if I can haul a fetus around is illogical![/insert ditz face]"
... Do I need to say more? 1, you're practically encouraging teens to have unprotected sex. They think it'll be all fun and games, since people got on Television for being knocked up. 2, we really need to exploit them? They should be focusing on preparing their bodies for the extra nutruients it'll need to take in, or contemplate an abortion[different rant.]

The Kardashians. I'm sorry, but really? Why are they even famous? Because they have a near-infinite money supply? I really don't see how a bunch of morons talking about sex with Football and Basketball players is even worth watching. They have literally 0% talent.They could at least contrbute a large donation to a good cause, even if the money's cursed.. They do nothing but cackle and make vaginal references. I don't see how it's entertaining...

Say Yes to the Dress. I can understand that watching a bunch of women get angry at their mothers for picking their wedding dress can be entertaining, but, really, why does this crap need to be publicised? I swear, so much stress over a piece of tarp that'll be worn 6hours max while saying "I do". It's not even entertaining, just sad.


Now, my own little biased bit will say, I do enjoy watching Pawn Stars. It's just interesting, really. But, this is all my Opinion. Hence the Blog. TV is for animated ideas, not morons being followed with cameras.

I love the show: Keeping up with the kardashian's and say yes to the dress. & What i think of this is : Without these shows then TV would be boring with nothing that entartains Teens .

I never watch T.V. Anymore. It's all crap, especially when MTV started putting on all these scripted shows. I wish for the good all days when MTV just showed music videos for 6 straight hours...

Oh, and I do hope books make a comeback. E-Books are unfortunately taking over.

Reality TV is the worst type of TV, fortunatly for me I can block certain shows. Really, the best way to enjoy TV is to go onto the channel's website and watch it there. That way you don't have to settle for whatever crud is on TV at the time.
And... Pawn Stars is awesome!

If you want Reality, go outside! Tge TV is a form of escape, a little retreat, if you will, from Reality. Then, after your little mini-vacation, go enjoy reality.

@Blood: I don't watch any of these, but my Dad's is a 3-room apartment. I can either stand in the kitchen for an hour while my sister watches crap, or sit in the bathroom for same reason.

Furthermore, you don't necessarily need to marry, but, again, a different subject. My point is, why fuss over something you're only going to wear once, twice at best?

Look, note the 3rd- and 2nd-to-last sentences. This is just my Opinion. If your opinion is that watching morons who didn't protect themselves is entertaining, be my guest. I won't judge, I'll just irritate you.

@Chuck: I have yet to watch any of the Survivor-Style of shows. THAT is moreso a demonstration, than 'reality'. It's staged, but, it's MEANT to be. If I explained that right. o3o

What about Survivor? I enjoyed that one, despite the drama.

Actually, all the survival shows are the best, especially Dual-Survivor.

Ugh, I didn't even bother reading this LOL

I hate people who hate on things they don't even understand? And saying 98% of it is staged is BEYOND stupid. None of us know for sure what's staged. And please, don't pretend like you do, unless you're the producer's kid. Some of it, obviously, is staged/planned(like publicity stunts) but not even nearly as much.

And only dumb people actually think 16 'N Preggo promotes unprotected sex. Have you even bothered watching any episodes or do you just go ranting about things you know nothing of? The girls always end up whining about their lives and showcase just how much a baby really limits you. They don't go by saying everything is peachy and hunky-dory lol

Ill wrap this up by saying I hate stupid people in pointless shows but I also hate equally stupid people that don't know what try speak of.

I favour your blog I have 2 points

•stop watch that show if you hate it.
•coming to the point about were you get married you have to get married and you actually don't stand there six hours saying I do.2 reason you must marry,1• you must marry if you want to let your familys name to live longer,2• to get children and let enjoy life as well as spread your familys name.You cant save every body but give the joy of life to someone atleast.

Now coming to the point about the show "16 and pregnant" I could debate you on this and I would win.It's common sense that obviosly their not encouraging younger persons to be like that,they are only demonstrating to anybody the faults that could happen and the faults have happened,how to cope with the pain and the baby,how to not defect the childs appearance etc.

Reality T.V. is the lowest form of entertainment. Even lower than slapstick humor. I swear, you must literally have the IQ of a fly to enjoy it. LESS than a fly, actually. I've never seen a fly enjoy "16 and Pregnant."

The best example of the stupidity in "reality" television is definitely that show "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant". Complete bull. After missing your period for a while, I think you could take a guess...
