I have been going through some blogs this morning, choosing whether to allow them to be posted for everyone to see or not.
Here are some of the common reasons why your blog did not get posted:
Plagiarism - I have actually seen less of this, but I'm sure people still like being lazy and will steal someone else's work from time-to-time. Get some work ethics if you like to do this!
Libel - Even though it is just your opinion, I cannot justify approving a blog against another person or website.
frctrd wrtng - I know people like using bad grammar and punctuation, but some of these blogs are just ridiculous to try reading because of it. The first letter of each sentence gets capitalized, sentences end in punctuation, and "you" is spelled 'y' 'o' 'u', not just 'u'.
Whining - Doing lots of whining in a blog can actually cause more damage to you than you think. Whiners are usually more upset about what people say. Jerks (like me, for instance) and people that just don't whine may leave comments that would cause more emotionally whinage to occur.
Distasteful - Some things may have good points, but I will not approve any blogs that may come back to bite HB in the future. I completely have agreed with some blogs, but have declined them due to word usage that we cannot let kids on this site view. I'm sure HB enjoys getting calls from parents that interrupt him at work or wake him up to complain about what their kid has learned from this site, but let's try to keep that to a minimum. If you want to write a blog about awesome things that might "offend" someone, just be sure to leave out certain words that can cause HB to get in trouble.
Lack of Common Sense - Self explanatory.
Attention Starving - If you want attention so much that you have to "blog" about it, why not volunteer for church events or at a homeless shelter? The volunteer work will get you the attention you crave, and you will get some sunlight!
I'm sure there are other categories I will find, but for those that get approved by me, keep up the good blog-writing.
Skunky-I TOTALLY agree with you. I wrote a blog a while ago on how to get a blog ACCEPTED apparently, some noobs aren't smart enough to take that advice. -.-'
Some blogs are such a pain to review....Even more painful when they get accepted for absolutely no apparent useful reason, I'm talking about these who accept and reject blogs without posting a reason, Ok not posting a reason isn't a crime, but some blogs (rejected or featured) REALLY need a reason...
i started a story on these blogs. they all got declined except for the one that i askedthe blogmin reviewing that series up to that point, dont worry JAB im not saying names, to say why he says "no". that one he said "yes" to even though i was on part 2 of the first chapter. is it possible that he is lazy, or do you blogmins have to fill out a form that no one sees
