So you hate minecraft?

People like all kinds of different games. My little brother likes playing those little flash stickman games on the internet, my older brother likes playing Call of Duty.

I think both of these are boring, but do I go around bashing them?

For some reason, people who aren't interested in minecraft seem to really really hate it. I mean, they go on in great detail about how boring it is, how nerdy it is, how sad it is, how poor it is, basically every aspect. They say "If you play minecraft you're sad" and "If you play minecraft you've got no life."

I honestly don't know why people see it in such a different light to other games. It's not that much different. It's creative and interesting, at least to me and everyone else who likes it. It's just as much a game as any other game.

So why do you all insist on singling it out?

People say it's boring, because it has 'bad graphics' and 'stupid gameplay.' I think Call of Duty is boring, because all it is is going around shooting people in different ways.

People say that playing it means you have no life, but that depends more on the time you play a game than the game itself.

People say it's nerdy. Define 'nerdy,' explain how minecraft is it, and then explain how your favourite game isn't it. Then maybe I'll value that argument.

If you've never played it, you have no excuse to bash at it. When I first saw it I thought it looked boring, but when I played it for a bit I really enjoyed it.

If you have played it, and think it's stupid, fine, but you don't have to go on about it.

It may seem really petty that I'm making a blog about this, but it really annoys me when people judge things without even looking into them. Just, don't bash it till you've tried it, OK?

That game is a ball of yay.

I have a friend who said Minecraft was boring because of it's craptastic graphics. I smashed his logic by reminding him that withot gameplay, graphics are nothing.
Also, I first saw Minecraft and had a gamegasm from what I saw. :3

Anyways, I have played Minecraft, but since it takes such a large amount of resources on my computer, I stopped playing it. Nevertheless, it is a very fun game. I think this is the only game that I've ever played with zombie pigmen.

I will say this: I'm not entirely fond of the direction Notch is going with Potions and Enchantments. I really hope he doesn't make it too complicated...


I hope it gets really complacated so the chances are endless.

Your right, Minecraft is like a virus, don't get me wrong, Minecraft is my favourite video game ever now, but now thats all I talk about. And frankly, im loving every minute of it!

i heard that a mobile version for the ipod/ipad will be released and there is always the free servers and freeware that you can download

A game that I've found that is LOOSLY related is Ace of Spades. Think simplified Minecraft graphics, a simplified building system, and TF2 all had a baby. It's really great, I promise!

Actually, many games sometimes purposely use 8- or 16-BIT graphics, or just blocky in general, to try and appeal to a different demographic. MineCraft's graphics are far from unique. Amazing, certainly. But not unique.

Again, I don't mind the game, what I've tried is fun. But it's that literally everyone I know won't shut up about it.

I think people think it's dumb because of the pixelation. That was really the reason why I hated it. But now I love it, and play Beta a lot. You just need to know what to do to enjoy the game. When I first played, I was just punching trees and stuff and didn't know ANYTHING about crafting. Right now I am building a scale model of the Taj Mahal on creative mode with the help of MC Edit. But, on topic, it is a very fun game when you get to know it.

I LOVE Minecraft. Frankly, I don't have it. My sister does though and sometimes I watch her play it. It looks really fun and I'm trying to get my mom to get it for me.

I'm tired about people hating people who hate minecraft. It's pretty hard to annoy people by doing it, so you should respect our trolling ability. You guys don't have a bad game to hate, so you could never bash us about it. Just don't bash it till you've tried it, OK?

Man, Marmite better not be lik/e Vegeminte because I heard that stuff is NASTY. It was like, made to make you puke or somethin. I've only seen Vegimite once in my live, and it don't even look like food.

I play all game genres mentioned here. I haven't played any MMORPGs though. The closest I've come to one of those was back when Phantasy Star Universe was HUGE. I never really got into it either.

Even though I don't have Minecraft, by looking at some footage, the gameplay seems amazing. Who cares about bad graphics? Ignore the haters.

I see MineCraft blogs showing up on the featured list just about as frequently (if not less) than your average CoD or other random FPS either telling us stuff about certain maps or weapons, or claiming the supremacy of one over others.

Lol, i've never played Minecraft. I also just recently heard about it and so far i've heard lots of good things about it. People REALLY enjoy it from what i've heard.

BUT, I still like Touhou better. :')

Why do say minecraft is boring when they NEVER played it (maybe).They say "Its boring all you do is BUILD!"But thats not exactly what you do...YOU survive, play adventure maps, fiddle with mods. BUILD, fight mobs, play multiplayer with FRIENDS , and thats all i think.
