Lately, I have been seeing some pretty lame blogs. Some are too short, some have little to no info, and some are just plain boring! So I'm here to give some tips, so you don't cause me and other members to Facepalm at your fail-of-a-blog.

The Topic:
So, starting off, all blogs have a topic (I hope). A topic for your blog should be something someone would want to read and waste their time on. If it isn't, then the person will be royally pissed. So for example, do you want to spend 10 minutes reading a blog about the new Super Mario Kart for the 3DS, or a poem about how crappy someone's life is right now?

Content:
The content of your blog should be chock full of facts. Or, if it's a Short Story, then chock full of details. You want to inform/impress the reader, so make sure to not sound like an idiot. Do your research! If you're writing about Littering, then look up some statistics about most littered piece of trash, or how much trash is in the world, etc. This way, people won't correct you and get mad.

Length:
The length really doesn't matter. In some cases it does, but in others, it doesn't. For Inspirational/Educational etc. Blogs, there is no definite length. you just need enough words to get the point across. Do you want a really long blog of nonsense, or a short blog of wisdom and goodies? But, foe stories, try to lengthen it as much as possible, as a paragraph is impossible to fit a story in.

Other:
Try to use a voice in your blog. Type in what you would normally say out loud. Trying to pretend you speak like Obama doesn't always work out. And also, having a large vocabulary wouldnt hurt, either.

So in conclusion, don't be an idiot while typing a blog. Seriously, dont. Please.
