Yesterday on December 6, Notch posted on his blog that two clever Minecraft users, suparMacho and koalaexpert, came up with the idea of LEGO© Minecraft. Mojang liked the idea themselves, and then actually discussed it with LEGO. Now there is a poll type of thing on the site (view it here) and people can vote to support the idea or not.

Obviously, in 48 hours, it reached the required goal of 10,000 votes. That got the attention of the Lego company. Most of the products they posted took more than a month to even reach 1,000 votes. So now, LEGO is going to put it in the "review stage", where a sort of "LEGO jury" (a team of developers, product managers, and some other members) will go over the idea and work out how it would work, or if it even would. This process will take 1-2 weeks. Then, if Lego©Minecraft is sucessfully LEGO's new product, (I'm sure it will be, LEGO should really think how much money they will make. So many people would buy it.)then it moves onto the Devolopment stage, which is the longest stage. It's pretty much devoloping the entire thing, as in the box, the peices, just everything in it.

This really needs to happen. Because I want to get back into LEGOs. They were fun.
