I've gone into the RP rooms several times and I've noticed that people think the correct way to roll-play is by "*morphs into dragon*" This is incorrect. In order to roll play, you need to use the /rolldie command (technically should be dice).

For example, there are many roll-playing games we could play in the RP rooms. For instance, Snakes & Ladders. In this roll-play, you act as some Indiana Jones type guy. Your objective is to retrieve the Golden Idol™. However, you have to avoid Indy's greatest fear (snakes, there had to be snakes!) otherwise he lose his ego and runs away. However, at a ladder, he has a sudden urge to climb and does so. This game relies heavily on the /rolldie command...

Our next roll-play is Monopoly. This game requires you to use /rolldie twice. You are a plucky Real estate entrepreneur. You can use every loophole to charge people for staying in your property (which escalates if housing estates are built) and it is a very realistic business simulation. You can also go to jail which adds another roll-play element; escape. Yes, you can emulate Steve McQueen (not at the point where he gets stuck in barbed wire though!) A roll of two die determines your freedom (or lack thereof). This game's secondary objective is to monopolise real estate since that guarantees somebody having to pay tax. The probability of rolling a double is 1 in 6. Just to add mathematics into the mix.

The best roll-play is Cluedo. This involves you acting as a detective in the ultimate whodunnit murder mystery. Your objective is to figure out who did the murder in a certain room and by certain means. I prefer this RP since there's a natural tension between people. Sometimes, there is a spontaneous second murder... Additionally, we can create scary backstories to our characters allowing for more tension. You can even spot hidden passageways to freak people out whom aren't expecting you.

Finally, we have Risk. This game allows you to roll-play as a general. You have to make strategic decisions and own all the world! The roll of die determines the outcome of each battle. This game is second best. The only problem is that it misleads people since it is a game of 'luck' even though sending in one soldier probably won't hold a territory making it easy to attack.

To conclude, a vampire pool party fight is not Roll-Playing. A Roll-Play involves direct engagement of characters using die. Use /rolldie to roll-play, not asteriks. That way, your roll-playing experience is enhanced. Prom, parties, etc. have no probability factor except for the chance of aquiring members of the opposite/same sex so please don't do these.
