Hiding in the light,
don't want the dark to touch me.
It's always in my sight,
I can't even try to flee.

It creeps closer with every day,
till it finally reaches.
It feels weird, in a good way,
the cloud prevents my speech.

I'm stuck now,
there isn't a way out.
My eyes start to burn,
my body starts to twitch.

What is happening to me,
my soul gone from me.
I'm a puppet now,
I can't move at all.

My body is numb,
so is my heart.
No one recognizes me,
I don't know me either.

I don't notice that I do it,
but pull the trigger, bang.
Fall to the floor, nothing more,
the blood flows fast.

What do I do, I finally came to,
the body's in the street.
I scream and run, into the light,
I don't need darkness now.

I'll never be forgiven,
but I'll act as though I am.
Every day I hear the sirens,
every night a different shelter.

One day a knock,
I look at the door,
did they find me?
I go for the window.

Door, breaks open,
I run faster,
Go for the dive,
fall on my face.

The room I'm in is cold,
people stare with cold eyes.
"Answer the question!"
I hear them scream.

I can't though,
darkness got a hold of me.
It won't let me answer,
I'm stuck in here now.

Someone save me,
bring back the light.
I miss the feeling of it,
the feel of love, and hope.

I have nothing anymore,
just a darkened heart,
and a closed cell door.
