This is a developing news story, so specific details will change over time...
Around 2:45pm local time (EDT), two bombs exploded near the finish line at the Boston Marathon. The death reports range from 2-12, and the injury reports range from 22-50, depending on the sources and their times of broadcasting. Additional unexploded devices have been found during bomb squad searches, as well. Since this was at the finish line for such a big event, law enforcement and media are able to analyze a great deal of footage to help in the investigation. A wounded suspect is in custody. We will undoubtedly know more as the days and weeks pass.
Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the victims and those close to them.
It's stuff like this that proves my point, and makes me glad I've given up on humans entirely. Don't get me wrong, though, Death is a terrible thing for any form of life to have forced upon it, and I do indeed feel for the victims. I just don't see humanity as capable of redeeming itself anymore, and I don't bother looking for a reason to believe otherwise.
He was tackled by a bystander and handed to the police because this bystander said that he was "running suspiciously." I will bet you that he was arrested just because of the fact he was Saudi Arabian.

I wouldn't expect a Arab to do the bombing so much because those who do bomb and are Arab, will expect people to be suspicious and prejudice against them, so they wouldn't try. Still possible for any race or religion to do the crime, however.
i dont care how it happened justice comes later
what matters now is helping the injured and remembering the victims
those poor people did nothing, and how scary that would be to everyone
It's truly tragic what's happened, but I've seen a depressingly large amount of controversy around people saying it was some pinpointed attack on American freedom.
To those people: The world is a frightening place, and while it may comfort you to think there's some secret lair of terrorists planning to take down the US, what happened is some guy who probably doesn't even know much about his own religion blew himself up because that was what he was taught would get him into heaven.
Reality is hard to accept sometimes, especially when in a case like this it seems so chaotic and unnecessary. But please try to stay grounded. NO it's not an unofficial declaration of war by Iraq/Iran/Afghanistan etc., it's not a government organized bombing, it's just some guy who had the wrong ideas in his head.
My prayers to the victims families.

Errm, I encourage you to watch/read the news, no one blew themselves up.
Excuse me, I typed that wrong. They blew other people up, not themselves. The rest of my comment, which apparently was the least important part because a typing mistake is the biggest stand out, stands.
Praying for Boston. How sad is it to have a charity marathon and end it with a bombing. RIP to the victims and god bless those who are injured and survived. Live everyday to the fullest.
Hate to say it, but the frequency of these... events (seems like neutral term to use, sorry if it seems too light.) is increasing.
Basis: compared the time between the Columbine shooting and 9/11 to the gap between Sandy Hook and today.

My heart goes out to the families of the events mentioned above, and those events that I didn't mention.
