Lying on the ground.
Worthless, like a drunk

But you can't help but be entranced,
there is something about that penny.
It's too shiny to be a penny.
Too clean. No streaks.

Wait, why am I dreaming,
about a worthless penny?
It dropped.
It caught my eye.
This metal has showed it's strength.

For the penny, it is useless.
What could it buy?
A bonbon is all I think of...
melt in the mouth...succulent...
