The following was pasted from a post I made in the Nintendo developer forum. Though I have a projected release window, it is obviously contingent on approval before publication. Note that this is for a Wii U app that has support for 3DS viewing in 3D and all other browsers in 2D via an online gallery.
Aside from HullBreach: Uncloaked, we now have a second project in development. This project is a paint utility that pays homage to the SDK Community, which grew up around HullBreach Online, DSiPaint, and 3DSPaint - all websites for Nintendo system browsers. The "SDK Community" original got its name due to the member accounts on websites that offered JavaScript software development kits spun from HullBreach Online to make browser-based games for the Wii's Internet Channel. The community currently sees most of its use on both the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS browsers, with over 115k members. The original meaning of "SDK" has faded, though "society of dual-screen kin" was suggested, so the title of this project has no bearing on being an actual SDK.
The SDK Paint app will be built with the Nintendo Web Framework and contain the following features (at a minimum):
1. Layer-based painting
2. Local saving and online publishing (both Miiverse and sdkpaint.com)
3. 3D raycasted "museum" gallery with artwork on the walls
4. Gyroscope and accelerometer pseudo-3D preview effect for artwork layers
5. Save artwork to MPO files for 3D viewing on a Nintendo 3DS
The expected completion time is 3 months from now with the Q3 2014 release window. This will be a budget title, expected to be priced at $1.99 (USD).
