After reading more about the (unfinished) 2013 DSiPaint Quilt, I've now decided that this year's Quilt will have a 2nd theme, in addition to the space theme that I borrowed from the (also unfinished) 2020 SDK Quilt: video games.

Part of the reason that I'm doing this is because some of the squares already submitted (specifically the Pokémon-themed ones) fit in with a video games theme anyway, and in addition to adding this 2nd theme to this year's Quilt, I'll also be including 9 squares that were originally submitted to be part of the unfinished 2013 and 2015 Quilts.

Anyone who's already submitted a space-themed square for this year's Quilt can feel free to submit a video game themed one for it if they want to as well, and since so few people are participating so far anyway, I'm not going to be strictly enforcing the 1 square per person rule.
(All it does is needlessly constrain all those who are actually participating this year.)

Also, although I'd still prefer if you submit your squares sometime before December 31st (since it is the 2023 Quilt after all), I'll still be accepting squares well into January of next year, and at present no specific end date for Quilt submissions exist.
(Basically once everyone who begins working on their squares sometime this year is finished doing so, I'll go ahead and make the Quilt.)

So far I've collected a total of 24 squares from 22 participants, and I'm hoping that I might be able to get up to a total of 25 squares, just like the original DSiPaint Quilt had.
(And with these changes that I'm making to how I'm handling things, that's certainly possible now.)



Also, I'm going to be making the squares for the 2023 Quilt quite large (probably 512×512), BUT I'm also going to be making smaller versions of this year's Quilt as well, all the way down to one made up of 160×160 squares like the original 2011 DSiPaint Quilt was.
(Which will likely be 800×800 just the original Quilt was as well.)

Anyway, I'm still hoping that I can get more people to participate if at all possible, and if you'd like to submit something for this year's Quilt just DM it to me either here on Paint or over on Discord.
