Dsi Update v1.5 Wish List

I have heard rumors about a new DSi update and it got me thinking: What will it have? I spent all yesterday looking at blogs and there hasn't been any info on what will come out.

Ok now lets get to the point of this blog. As the title suggests this is a wish list so post what you want on this new update.

What I really want is the ability to copy games to the sd card and actually play them on a different DSi.

GBA games, YouTube, Homebrew Channel, message board, phone calls, text messaging, MP3 player, custom images, playing games off the SD card, and video viewers, all done through softmodding.

DSiware's "BirdNBeans" was originally a GBA Game, so "virtual console" is not needed

I heard somewere that they may make a skype type app for the dsi but im not sure. it would be awsome though.

@smalls- I just said BASIC because it is easy to learn and use. I would love to code in Ruby but people might find it to hard learn. I agree that web apps are great and have a lot of neat and useful functions that might not be able to be written directly on the DSi, but I wish to use more of the hardware on the DSi.

@therumcompound - No... BASIC is a rubbish programming language, but not as bad as others. It's way too limited.

Skype or Google Voice

1.) I was disappointed at the iPod Touch for having one built in feature missing... A microphone.

2.) It is true that the DSi cannot recieve the data that cell phones send out through it's frequencies; however, Google Voice and Skype are both Internet based.

Why yes... yes I am in the Google Voice beta, but I only have one invite left.

You tube DSiphone dsi message board FLASH windows 7 camrea t2 take vids live tv sd card ch movie download tv show download dsitunes dropbox live radio better games on dsi shop PDA dsi sound to record longer dsi 2 b a remote 4 yer tv and wi fi where ever u go and it to have all of the tools you'd need like flash light car keys and for it to b ablr to play games Without a wire on the wii like psp and ps3 can.

@tigus, thie cell phone thing would be impossible without issuing new hardware, which would require a new dsi (cuz nintendo would never sell it so as not to ENCOURAGE modding). the dsl, ds, and dsi are all incapable of recieving the waves that a cell phone produce (and can certianly cannot translate them). so basically, they are not going to do this without making you buy another system. ex. the dsi xl is coming in at an estimated market price of $220. do you really want to pay that much when you can just get a decent cell for $25?

All i ask is that we can use the Dsi as a cellphone.Now i know what your thinking (Tigus gust get a Cellphone!) but think about it wouldt it be cool to rub it in your friends face when u can use your dsi as a cellphone!

hey dude copying games to SD card and playing them on other dsi's will NEVER happen. Nintendo is too smart. Otherwise you could get all your friends apps for free!

The ability to download movies to your dsi to your sd card, youtube, dsi itunes with everything converted already to a compatible format so u can download stuff on your dsi straight to your sd card

The DSi LL or XL is a new dsi in Japan that came out recently, its double the size of the DS lite. And one of these 2 will probably come out in the new firmware, either a SD card menu or the GBA virtual console... but Nintendo is not thinking about a new firmware for the moment, so don't get your hopes up
