Okayyy.... Popping back in to help everyone who has those old GBA Pokemon cartridges lying around. Recently, I've been noticing an increasing amount of challenges and the like circulating among various forums, but I've only found one in particular worth mentioning: The Nuzlocke. There are only 3 rules to Nuzlocke:
1: The only pokemon you can catch is the VERY FIRST pokemon you encounter per area ( towns count as seperate areas, only one Egg)
2: If, for any reason, you have a Pokemon faint in battle, it is NO LONGER USABLE. I'm putting it in caps for complete emphasis. No revives. Not even revives via Pokecenter. Put it in a seperate box, they'll quickly amount to a hilarious tally of battles past.
3: All pokemon must have nicknames (for identification purposes, I suppose)
If you attempt this feat of skill, luck and valor, keep this in mind:
-Legends are usable, but ONLY if it's the 1st encountered in an area (repel until there)
-If you lose a battle, you can still keep playing, however the current party must be scrapped.
-Obviously, if you run out of Pokemon, you lose.
If you choose to attemp this, good luck. I haven't made it past the 4th gym in any game. (there are plenty of videos of complete Nuzlocke walkthroughs)
