Now, as some of you may or may not know, this blog series is about snacks. Every week (or so) I pick a snack. I smell it. I feel it. I taste it. And then I rate it. And then I post this blog that you're reading. So this week, I picked something...original. Most of you may know it from S'mores. Today I will review Graham Crackers. Graham Crackers are pretty....mild. They don't taste extra good, and as a matter of fact, I don't remember them tasting at all!
I bought the brand most of us know, which is Honey Maid. No, not the crappy grocery store brand. This is stuff is the real deal! You realize how much boxes try to lure me into buying them, and when I look more closely, it's a generic brand! I throw the box across the room, because it's not Honey Maid! So, I open the package with my bare hands. And no, this is not the 2nd Amendment, that's Bear Arms. I rip open the plastic coverings. I'm.......devastated. I haven't seen anything quite like this...in about 6 years! My God, almost every Graham Cracker in their is crushed. This is an emergency! Hold on.... Let me backtrack.
1. I see the box on the shelf.
2. I.....man-handle the box for a minute, then I bring it to the register.
3. I hit on the local bagging lady, and then pay for the damn thing.
4. I walk home.
Never did I drop the package, nor did I squish it. Maybe in the grocery truck it bumped around too much. Maybe, a Honey Maid employee thought it would be a big prank to do this. He thought it would ruin my day. the employee must of thought it would even ruin my life! And ruin my life it did! I cannot enjoy a proper snack...that's in a million bite-sized pieces!(No pun intended...) So I pick up a..piece. I bite. Chewing around a bit, they feel a bit...hard. Not natural at all, oh no. My teeth almost come to a complete stop as I bite through, and that definently means that somethings wrong. Taking a quick look at the expiration date, I facepalm. 7/10/11. 4 months old. Are you kidding me?! First, they're broken. And now they're overdue? That's just...TERRIBLE! What am I going to do? Now, this snack cannot ever be eaten. I wasted $2.99. I am angered. The nerve...
As I ungratefully swallow, I sense a chemical aftertaste. Not at all enjoyable. I'm not even going to eat another piece. Nope. I even have half of mind to call Honey Maid and yell at them. They should really step it up on their Graham Cracker production. I feel horrible right about now...ugh.
Rating time! Now...this snack...was just terrible. I mean, the crackers were ripped up, they were 4 billion months old, and...I mean, how could they do this? Ruin my snack experience? How does Honey maid employee's sleep at night? How can they read their kids bedtime stories, how can they cook dinner, how can they play Xbox KNOWING...that they screwed over a customer's snacktime. So, I give this snack..a very low...1.87. I will not have this snack again. Ever.
