Well, you can give more information on it for the people who havn't been following it on the news or that are unaware of it because they ain't on the east coast.
Anyways, New Jersey and New York are getting the worst because they're in the corner of land where it's coming by and there's a indent so to speak of water around them, which when it comes in that area it pushes the water with it into the corner as of which it has nowhere to go but inland to those two states and keep in mind New York is only a couple feet above sea level, they'll get a pretty good bit of flooding and damage.
Don't argue with idiots because they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
I live within the 5 boroughs of New York City, (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island) so there's going to be 75-90mph winds. However, my house is not in the flood zone because it's on high ground, and 2 miles inland. The only thing there is to worry about here is blackouts, and falling trees. But I'm pretty prepared because my family stocked up on batteries, flashlights, radios, non-perishable food for 5 days, and we also boarded up all of the windows. I don't have to evacuate either, so that's good. I hope everyone on this site that will be effected is safe.
(Sorry for this double post, my internet connection just failed).
Also, here in New York, the mayor of the 5 boroughs declared the first ever state of emergency. {What happened to 9/11)? All public transportation (the subway, buses, taxis, car service, limo service, amtrak) will be suspended by noon tomorrow. All flights in or out will be cancelled by then too. Bridges and tunnels wills also be closed. Mayor Bloomberg also ordered a mandatory evacuation to 2 million people who live in Coney Island and Rockaway by 8:00am tomorrow. 91 evacuation centers throughout the 5 boroughs have also been established. Most of them public schools or hospitals. It's suppose to hit here in New York by 6:00pm tomorrow.
