They won more than 20, bro. Besides. CoD IS recycled. After watching the MW3 multiplay deathmatch, I thought it was MW2 until I saw a different text used.
They could have done better. I announce MW2, Black Ops AND MW3 tue worst shooters. All the same, no differ.
Also, Bodycount is horrible.

CoD can never match up to battlefield. The worst shooter I would say is either duke nukem: forever, or Thorium wars (a crappy vehicle shooter on dsi ware)

CoD doesn't even have vehicles (besides the helicopter) that you can drive. One more thing, Halo set many standards for the FPS genre that, whoever says CoD is better in every way, is an idiot. Another shooter thats bad is centipde/millipede. Its old I know, but its just dumb if you play it on an updated platform.

CoD is pretty fun though, I like it (multiplayer classic with NO perks). And there's zombie mode. It's lack of creativity is CoD's downfall though, NOT gameplay.

Sorry for any condriction (or misspellings) I'm saying CoD is fun, but not great. We do need to start naming some things other than FPS games though. Think, what about side-scrolling shooters or top-down shooters maybe even arcade shooters! Come on, we're losing focus here!

CoD doesn't suck completely (not the worst shooter available just the most repetitive), but it is the same gameplay over and over again, with minor(very minor) differences. new maps are a plus, zombies are good and provide an enjoyable experience. the single player campaign is meh. multiplayer is fun, yes new features would be very welcome, but it is unlikely it will change. CoD does not belong on the ds though, i tried that, it doesn't work out. think of it as the madden of fps's it's the same but people will continue to buy the new version.

I love how the internet is its own fantasy adventure novel. Person A seeks guidance and the Trolls devour him.

you shouldnt base it on if its repetative, it should be based off of fun gameplay.

lets get away from fps's shall we? the worst shooter is this "contra" game it was the one for the nes where you actually pick your character. you had a minamum number of bullets, more jumps, and you dont even start off on the island. no konami code because it wasnt even made by konami (all other contra games are fun, epic, and made by konami)

i gotta agree: battlefield 3 with halo at a (very) close second. i wouldn't even put CoD in the top 5. no vehicles, and for everyone who said it's recycled: i agree. same mechanics, just different guns and maps. also, campaign=crappy.
battlefield= more realistic, drivable vehicles, destructable environments (thank you frostbite engine), sniping is ACTUALLY SOMEWHAT DIFFICULT...the list continues.
and halo: no perks, or killstreaks, or custom loadouts... everyone is on a level playing field. and it's more fun than CoD or battlefield. vehicles and forge mode are amazing in multiplayer as well.

Besides those, I'd have to say the Halo games for PC. It's horrible. And many other in-browser and download FPS's for PC.

I'll have to say the first Red Steel was awful. Although your main weapon was a sword the weapons and shooting was awful. Now pair this up with the wii mote's awful ability to aim and you got yourself a nasty stew of an unplayable game. The AIs could even fire at you.
