I'm a girl. I love video games. Totally for it, but some of my relatives think other wise. Thier reasons;
1. GMS R ONLY 4 BYZ.
(unvalid.)
2. Females wouldnt understand the concept of gaming.
(orly)
3. Games keep a man under control, and distracts them from getting a criminal record.
(im pretty sure girls do bad stuff too. :c)
4. Females have stuff to do at the house.
(guys need clean rooms too. :c)
5. Females can't take the dark themes of some video games.
(i dont think the women in the army would agree with that. :3)
Of course girls can play video games. Since when did gender matter in gaming? You're a girl and you like to play games...who cares, you're not different to any other gamer.
By the way:
"Games keep a man under control, and distracts them from getting a criminal record." I don't believe that, whether it be a man or woman.
No matter what type of game it is, girls can play video games to. I see girl gamers more often now. I know plenty of times I've seen a girl gamer beat others in games with little or no effort in games. I see games only targeted to the female appeal that sometimes fail at making the game exciting. Maybe its because I'm a guy or developers think gender determinds one interest. More games are opening up to both male and female gamers. Today, most games have started to add gender selection in games to allow people to express there gender. For example, gears of war 3 and halo. Gears, without a doubt, is extremely grusome and violent. Most of the communuty thinks only men are attracted to it, but as they realized females are also interested, they add playable characters with opposite genders. But some of the gaming community posess as the opposite gender. Wether they do for immature reasons or don't really care about it. My older brothers friend's little sister schooled me in halo 3 over and over again. She and he played halo ever since combat evolved.
I wanna advance ahead of the game, but I'm stuck patrolling this darn platform!!!
