SocialCu.be! - A New Leader In Nintendo Handheld Websites

There is a new, advanced social website website coming out early next year. It will have features never seen by this community before, one of the nicest designs, and the staff will be the best of the best.

...Who are you?
We won't be done for a month or so, There is a LOT to developing a website like this. So far though, It is looking amazing. The complex features like forums, QN, Email, etc are pretty much done. The boring stuff is what we have left.

My site will be mobile; I have good idea that work great for all systems just wait!

So, when do you guys plan on having this site done?

I could have the parts I'm responsibile for done in like a month or two. But, it depends on the other admins too so I'm not sure. Shouldn't be to much longer though.

how many people do you plan on attracting if it's just the Nintendo community?

Will the site be for mobile phones, tablets, etc?

We are trying to make it run well on every system we can test on. A-MAN has spent a lot of time making sure it looks just as good on PC, as it does on 3DS, DSi, and even iPod Touch looks amazing. I plan on eventually advertising a bit on Google Adwords so we should get a lot of new people in the community from a variety of mobile systems.

For the most part we use percentages, There are a few things that have to be done manually though. For example, there is a second dashboard that DSi's are directed to because they aren't as compatible for it as the other browsers are.

It's hard to say, but considering all the unique features, paid hosting, cross-compatibility, and catchy URL, It should either equal or surpass the big current sites like Paint and Plaza. Especially if LM101 sticks with it.

My hope is that it will become larger than any other site in this community has been so far, But like I said, it's hard to tell what'll happen at this point.

This community has really died off, so before SC I felt like I was wasting my time by only targeting it. However, it is still an overall active community, and targeting it is still more successful than it would be to target a whole new section of people that have never heard of these sites.

The best thing to do is probably to target the general population, and make it so users here can join as well. That way you aren't dependent on this community, but you can still tap into it's benefits. I think creating apps for DSi/3DS is still worth doing as long as you only spend enough time building them to be worth the amount of people using them(don't build giant three-month-long apps for 10 people to use)

To answer your question directly, It probably isn't quite a waste of time, but without cross-combatibility it isn't the best use of your time either. Any apps you make, you should probably try to make work on many systems. The PC will obviously never die, so if you can get your site to work well with it than you should be good to go.

Hey I just got back here from play around with my tablet (am still on it cause I gave my dsi to ky sis) and I went to socal cube to check on the progres and it was full sceran like other websites so does this mean I can go the site with my tablet?
