I definitely prefer the game designers adding something fresh to old Pokémon rather than just rolling onward with the new. A little disappointed that a starter line (Blaziken) will receive a new evolution...but Mewtwo's Mega evolution still looks awesome. As for super training, sounds like it could either be a part of next gen EV training or diverge from the well-documented system entirely.

Hope we can ship Pokemon from previous Generations into it. Kinda want my Absol with me, you know. It's be nice actually develope an Eeveelution team as well.

Definately buying the game on-release. This will be the first game where I'm actually going to buy it on the release date. Seriously considering the idea of getting both at once if possible.

The Mega Evolution bit annoys me. I don't like it one bit. Lucario looks dumb with the Red on the blue, Absol looks Emo(not like I have anything against emo's, just not my thing) and it grew wings. WINGS! >.< Also, Arceus forbid Spiritomb get one, they're powerful enough as-is with nothing supereffective against it.

"Pokémon Bank" will be a downloadable companion app for Pokémon X and Y on the 3DS. It is used for online storage of Pokémon, just like in-game PCs. 100 boxes are available, 30 slots per box, so this means 3000 storage slots. Much more space than offered in the game. Black and White Pokémon can also be transferred via a Poké Transporter feature. Will release on Christmas day in Japan, presumably later for other regions. Important as well is that the app requires an annual fee expected to run at roughly US$5 a year.

So X&Y's overworld is confirmed to be in 2D only. In other words, just battle scenes will allow use of the stereoscopic 3D. Does not mean the overworld environment will be flat or abandon the new ground level point of view. Fan sighs followed this news, but it makes sense; the idea of a full Pokémon game being rendered twice over was staggering. (It would have been nice if at least the Dex were 3D'd and entries could be rotated and whatnot, à la an "actual" holographic Pokédex...)

I'm fairly certain mega evolutions only last for the battle. If they don't really I'm not touching them, except for maybe Absol's even though Absol is already a beaut.

A game-breaking bug in X/Y has been confirmed. It simply involves loading a file saved while anywhere inside Lumiose City. When doing so, the game and the system freeze up, forcing a reboot and obviously halting game progress. Patch is coming (don't reset your game), but for now avoid saving in Lumiose City at all costs.

Ieard only certain copies are doing that, some people say they have no problem with saving there.

Correction, reportedly saving inside buildings seems fine. Outside and one's save file is corrupted. Possibly optimisation for virtual copies has something to do with this--I have no idea. Via Reddit, an unofficial fix has also surfaced: load game file, wait for music to start, repeatedly press Home button until game works. Try at your own risk.

Nintendo of Japan has released a map of Lumiose City. The blue portions are where it is advised not to save.

The patch is now live on the eShop (at no cost). It should let you save anywhere safely, and restore corrupted data, as well as fix the GTS crash problems. You can confirm that the update has been installed if "Ver. 1.1" is visible on the game's starting menu.

Been going around that there is a serious glitch with the Wonder Trade system. Players who make use of a hack to generate illegitimate Pokémon are able to send them out as trades. The recipient gets the hacked Pokémon in the form of a malicious "Bad Egg". It cannot be traded, released, or hatched. Most alarmingly, it multiplies in your PC boxes, overwriting all existing Pokémon, effectively ruining your game. I presume this is an error handling issue with the transfer/trade system, because all Pokémon are supposed to be checked to be legit before going out.

The problem is young, and the reports are few. The chances of receiving one of these eggs is currently very small. Provided you wish to stay unaffected, either use Wonder Trades on a limited basis or not at all. Hopefully, confirmation and patch forthcoming.

A follow-up to the Wonder Trade egg debacle. If you've studied the status screens for carried Pokémon, PC boxes, and trade summaries, you may have noticed a small blue pentagon symbol. It is distinct from markings and Pokérus/shiny symbols. That is believed to be a confirmation of capture. This means the Pokémon was initially obtained in-game legitimately, either with a ball, given by an NPC, or through an event. If the symbol is not there, the Pokémon may have been obtained through hacking.

This bit of information is not acknowledgement of the alleged bug, merely the same assertion of stance regarding hacked Pokémon going online (est. Gen IV).

Nintendo is going to be realeasing new Pokemon and Mega evolutions. Someone leaked somenew legendaries, one of which is a water/fire type.

It's a new age. We have the eShop. I cannot help but wonder why Nintendo does not choose to avoid situations like these by simply providing DLC. The raw size of such additions is miniscule, and they can be easily handled and modified before release of the game initially. Decrease in judgement calls is really evident from the early bugs. Almost like they lose sight of the fact that they run *Pokémon*--one of the GOAT franchises should be developmentally leading the pack. Hopefully these things clear up for Generation VII.
