I mean it was created out of pure bad patience. Your answer is that we were scheduled for a new teaser, but due to some of the graphic artists ripping and slightly re-colouring sprites from RPG Maker, the sprites & tiles need to be heavily reworked. We only have a small team of developers, and we work in our spare time. Please have patience.

They aren't getting paid, if anything they are losing money, they have no oblgation to make it but they do so solely for your entertainment. If you really care, learn how to code and go and help them.
