Ok, so I have Sims 3 on PC, & I love it. My favorite aspect about the game is the fact that you can choose to raise a family naturally, OR adopt, that you can have gay OR straight couples.
I like Sims in general because I love simulation type games, creating houses is actually my 2nd favorite part of the game. :P

I have the sims 3 too! :D and some of the expansion packs. It's a really great game and has endless possibilities. And, like you said you can have different types of couples and relationships, adopt, have kids, be a single parent, married, you can go on vacation[if you have the pack] get different jobs explore the town do all sorts of things..
Oh, and I love how you can change the colour and texture and pattern of everything too!
I love the jobs...& how it garners creativity...You can change virtually any object, as Neon said. They just need more options for outside & pool usage...

I like the fact that EA doesn't finish their games and add a bunch of expansion packs and DLC to get money out of people. That's the best part about it.
