Hey peope,
i was just thinking that a covenient tool for bb would be a sorting device that sorts locked threads from open ones. I know that when im on bb i always want to leave a comment. And seriously, locked threads that only have three comments are worthless. SO either a complete two seperate links for locked and open or move all locked ones to the back of the section...just sayin.

The idea of separating the locked threads from the unlocked ones has been presented before.
If they were sorted like that:
Yes, going through and finding open threads would be easier.
But more confusing for example if one had posted a thread and it got locked. Definitely there are organizational problems for locking, stickying, deleting, and any combination of the three.
But also, the point of locking a thread doesn't only have to be to prevent further posting. It is often an example to BB users of what not to do. So locked threads can be good to stay temporarily visible.
So I think the current thread sorting process is fine.
I believe HullBreach has reached a compromise of sorts and adjusted the thread sorting function. When a thread is locked, it no longer bumps to the top of the thread list, but instead to the end, in chronological order. So now unlocked threads and locked threads are neatly separated.
This is going to follow up on a lock soon but I'm going to comment on this for one.
this has been suggested a few times (by me too) but users need to see why exactly their blog was locked (so they'll stop complaining to an admin. why dont they just use the search function? ...I don't know.
Come to think of it, if locked threads got sorted to the end of the thread list and normal users could lock (their own) threads, that would be a very easy, undetectable way to spam BB posts. That might be the very reason that threads are not lockable by normal users anymore.
