I'm not so sure whether Obama can make in the 2012 election. According to the citizens of the US, his favorable rating is continuing to drop. Some reasons why most people don't like him are because the employment rate has reached 10% and may still be rising, many people have lost or can't find jobs, he raised taxes for small businesses, and made many other wrong choices that upset the Americans. In my opinion, I think there's still a pretty good percentage of him winning if there isn't a strong canidate running against him.
He is actually a candidate for the Republican party, which is odd because he's far more democratic.
Let me quote this from another website about the Republican party.
"Gary E. Johnson, former governor of New Mexico. Not a very strong background and practically unknown. Some experience.
Fred Karger, political consultant and gay rights activist from California. A background that seems better suited for a Democrat running for a smaller office. Little experience.
Andy Martin, perennial candidate from Illinois. The man who started the rumors that Obama's Muslim. He simply can't be taken seriously. No experience.
Jimmy McMillan, perennial candidate from New York. Well known, but is a real long shot and has a strong Democratic background. Only running Republican to avoid having to face an incumbent in the primaries. No experience.
Ole Savior, perennial candidate from Minnesota. Left the very liberal Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party for the Republican Party. Ran before in 2008, not very well known nation-wide. No experience"
